The Government of the Republic of Kiribati has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the implementation of Kiribati Adaptation Program Phase III, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services.
The services include providing advice and hands on support to the Ministry of Public Works and Utilities (MPWU) in carrying out its roles in coastal protection activities under KAPIII. The objective of the position is to provide both practical assistance to and develop the capabilities of staff in Ministry of Public Works and Utilities (MPWU) in order to 1) ensure the successful implementation of the civil engineering components of KAP III projects and 2) develop MPWU staff skills in procuring, managing and implementing engineering works, as a client.
