Registrations of Interest are sought from suitably qualified design and build contractors to design and build a new multipurpose building at Edgewater College.
The work involves but is not limited to the design and build of a new single story building approximately 23.400 x 6.000 which would house the schools Outdoor Education equipment, a Records Store, Workshop, Ground Storage, a triple carport and will include associated ground and other works including electrical and security works. The design calls for a single pitch roof structure. The various sections outlined above are all modules or part modules of standard garages.
It is anticipated that the successful registrants would be (but will not necessarily be limited to) suppliers of prebuilt modular garages and carports.
It would be an advantage for contractors to have worked in a school environment previously.
Building Contractors are requested to submit written Registrations of Interest, by email, for this project outlining:-
- Relevant experience in working in a school environment. - Experience in design and build projects including the obtaining of the Building Consent and all other necessary consents and approvals. - Type of structure proposed eg timber or steel frame. - Be able to demonstrate that they are able to work with Edgewater College and the Project Manager to deliver a quality project on time and on budget.
Tender documents will be available early to mid May to the successful registrants.
Nothing contained or implied in this ROI shall oblige Edgewater College or the Project Manager to justify, discuss or give reasons for any of their decisions related to this ROI.
The project is run by the School via a Project Manager but is subject to the rules set out in the Ministry of Education Property Management Guidelines. Go to http://www.minedu.govt.nz/goto/property and check on the link ‘State Schools' to view the handbook.
