WAN AWARDS 11 Commercial
The WAN AWARDS Commercial Sector is a major international competition and the fifth of our 6 bi-monthly 'Excellence in Design' series by sector for 2011. The award celebrates and promotes the best in international architecture for commercial use, attracting entries from all over the world and providing a global platform to showcase your designs.
There are two categories:
Any projects for commercial use, including offices, retail outlets, shopping malls, hotels, leisure facilities, theme parks, banks, cinemas, cafes / restaurants and other commercial typologies.
For the completed category, the competition is open to all commercial completed on or after 1st January 2008. There is no date restriction on the ‘unbuilt' category, and you may enter any design for the above typologies, whether your design is under construction or concept design only.
The jury will judge entries on a number of factors including originality, innovation, form and special quality, sustainability and context, but the following two areas will carry the most weighting.
1. How your design addressed the key elements of the client brief.
