10th Nov 2020: work underway for civic plaza in Liverpool, NSW
Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller has joined senior representatives from developer Built to mark the official start of demolition works to progress Liverpool Civic Place in New South Wales, Australia. Designed by FJMT, the scheme will provide new public spaces and community facilities. Before work began, Mayor Waller stated: “Liverpool Civic Place is part of more than $1 billion worth of major mixed-use developments in the pipeline for the Liverpool city centre, aided by Council’s 2018 rezoning to mixed-use development.”
Demolition and excavation works are expected to finish in mid-2021 before construction begins on the completion of the council works component, which will include facilities such as council offices and a new library and community hub.
